Sinasappelsap.
My favorite flemish word. Sure it only means “orange juice”, but it’s fun to say.

I spent about a week in Belgium last Summer; Bruges, Ghent and Brussles. Ghent was by far my favorite town. It’s beautiful, and unlike Bruges, lively. There’s a fairly large university in town which may account for the crowds that build up around the canals and brewhouses in the late afternoon. The beer was as excellent as I’ve been lead to believe. The people were friendly and the transportation worked great.

Added bonus -Brussels has a terrific museum devoted to comics.

A fire in the chunnel left me stranded in Brussels Nord for a day longer than I hoped. But all in all it was a fun trip. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s interested in picturesque medieval cities, or are looking to  partake in some heavenly brew.
